WCGA hosted two golf outings this past weekend. The weather felt like fall and could not have been more perfect – low humidity, not too hot, not too sunny.
Saturday’s outing at Lee’s Hill in Fredericksburg was worth the drive! The course was in great shape, and everyone at the course was extremely welcoming. There were long rides between some of the holes through the woods. It was a peaceful setting and very relaxing. After golf, a group went to Basilico’s – a return by request – and enjoyed yummy paninis, pizzas, soups, and desserts.
On Sunday, two foursomes played at University of Maryland Golf Course in College Park. It was not crowded, the course was immaculate, and it was another great day for golf. A few new members played, and we hope they will join in other outings.
